On the Hill of Glory in the Soviet district of Gomel and the Alley of Heroes, solemn rallies were held to mark the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the German fascist invaders and the Day of Independence of the Republic of Belarus.

The youth trade union activists and members of the Belaya Rus party of OAO Gomel Furniture Factory Progress came to pay their respects to the Eternal Flame of Military Glory, Memory, and Valor and the memorial complex.
